In 2002 Yvette was a finalist in the prestigious Wynne
Exhibition, an
annual event running alongside The Archibald at the Art Gallery of
New South Wales. A year later, she reached the finals of the inaugural
Metro 5 Art Prize Exhibition.
connected by experiences and awareness. We may look different or
follow other cultures but what binds us together is beyond flesh and
bone. There is a bigger picture in play. People want to
know their purpose and mission in life, I address the answers through
my work."
After a sell out exhibition in Melbourne last year and having one
of her works chosen to grace a new release wine in the Leeuwin Estate
Art Series,
Yvette adds to her impressive bio which includes being chosen as a finalist
in the
Wynne Landscape Prize at AGNSW, Fleurieu Penisula Art Prize and the
Metro 5 Gallery Art Prize.
Her new work is packed with energy, colour and texture as she takes
us on a journey of human discovery.
