Sept 26 - Oct 14

He looked into his reflection at the river's edge and saw someone that he had become and whom he recognized less and less. His face was heavy and lifeless from the years of experiences that, to be honest, hadn't really made him any more happy.

He could remember a time of true happiness, the early years of being a child, when he loved his family and felt hope for things to come. Over the years he had become uncaring, he wanted everything for himself and made sure no-one got in his way.

While staring at himself in the reflection of the water he started to feel something that he hadn't felt for a long time, something he had shut down for years. He felt his heart again and the welling up of emotion that was making him feel once more. Tears were surfacing in his eyes. These tears started streaming down his face. They became uncontrollable to the point that he just sobbed and sobbed. He never thought that he could ever cry this much. The feeling of it was a relief to his soul. Even though he was going through some tough times, it was freeing to finally let the truth surface so that he could feel himself again after so many years.
He started to feel bad. Bad about how mean he had treated his family and people over the years. He could feel his integrity again and it was not in a good way. He could feel all the times he was not there for people and it didn't feel good at all.

He decided that he could either wallow in this situation he had created for himself or decide to change it. And so he decided to change. Change the way he treated others, change his job from something he hated to something he loved and do whatever was needed while on his journey to be there for others.

He was already feeling better the more he decided who he really wanted to be. So he picked himself up from the river's edge, looked up and saw the dawn of a new day and decided that no longer would he play in a world of games and unhappiness. He would do whatever he had to for the benefit of those whom he loved and those he would meet while on his new journey. His lost hopes and dreams were now being found again.
