These paintings are snapshots- one frame isolated from countless others.
Sometimes a flickering second glance, or a postcard pause, or a memory played out so many times dreaming off into the passing river. Each given substance and emphasis, fleshed out in paint.
I crossed that river a thousand times, and the light varied, and the colours shifted, and the eagles dived and circled relentlessly.
