Daniel Truscott - Losing It

9 April - 27 April

"My credit cards are maxed,
I'm overtaxed,
Interest rates are rising,
(I'm boxersizing).
There's war overseas, spreading disease, globalisation
Upward inflation, terrorist attacks,
My dog's on prozac.
On line computer hackers, all the cash is with the Packers.
My house is spewing black balloons and there's nothing but madness is in the news.

Do you ever feel like you're losing it?”

Daniel Truscott, Melbourne, 2008

Life is a series of ups and downs, peaks and troughs. It is a wave we sit on, bobbing up and down as we follow the current.
If you think about it, our whole world exists in wave form. Vision is our brain interpreting light waves and our speech travels as sound.
Our existence resonates in wavelengths from the micro to the macro, from the expanse of the universe, down to a ripple in a stream.

On the downward shift, during the descent and on the dark plateau, we forget the wave pattern and fall into despair, oblivious to the fact that we can effect an upward shift.

Losing it is an odyssey along one wavelength of life. Into darkness and back out into the light.
