Jason Benjamin
biography

"Everyone feels a longing. For hope, for love, from loss, from fear. These pictures are springboards of sorts from this longing acrosss unbridgeable gaps, across time and borders.

Shouldn't Art reach high? Shaping our pain and confusion into an untouchable pearl? Great Art endures through idealism not fatalism and irony. I'm not looking for an angle or an edge, I'm strivind for something pure, reductive, essential.

Following some others that have pointed a way: Sesshu, Chardin, Casper David Friedrich, Matisse, Brice Marden".
