From its inception, the gallery has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries within the Australian art world and is dedicated to the development of young artists through the annual Metro Art Award.

Our mission is to encourage the production of serious contemporary art within an Australian and international arena,
by supporting our artists both in Australia and overseas.

Metro provides an art consultancy service for both corporate and individual collectors. This includes valuations of contemporary art, maintaining a collection, advice on selling at auction, and liaising with interior designers and architects.

The Metro team can also assist with the selection and placement of works in public and private spaces.
